As an American, this is getting embarassing. Why do the Canadians have the good UI? They are doing the cool academic research. They have taken over at Microsoft and Autodesk.

Zliding and Pointing Lenses are very interesting because they use existing tablet hardware. This is the kind of thing that should have been in Vista's tablet support but instead they just gave us a few flick gestures.
