Alksolutions Opensources a Cool Demo
Can Balioglu is open sourcing the code.

This is the best thing that could happen for the Surface community. We need to start getting a bit more communal. Noone seems to be lining up to resell components, so I hope more developers get into the spirit of sharing!
I'll be glad to let the community know about any opensource distributions. Just let me know. Everybody could sure use a nice virtual earth solution. Hint, hint JoshB.

It's closer than you think...
I totally agree. Funny that I was JUST talking to someone yesterday about how there are virtually no open sourced samples of Surface apps on the web. Even though a large portion of the stuff people write is just meant to be throw-away playing anyway.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm guilty of this myself. I suppose it's just the shame of showing my hacked together code. :)
But seriously, we definitely need more of this. I'm thinking we should get some codeplex stuff going.
